Sometimes at Checkpoint

On Saturday January 25, 2008 at 2000 at the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport male PAX started yelling and cursing at his wife after TSO started asking her questions about the contents of her bag.

Male PAX was instructed to stop, but he did not. Police were called and after a warning, they stepped in to arrest the male PAX.

Then the female PAX (51-years-old) jumped through the security area and started attacking the female TSO, hitting her and choking her.

Both passengers were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and resisting arrest. In addition the female PAX also was charged with two counts of assault and trespassing.

The attacked TSO was taken to a hospital for treatment and later released. 52-years-old male PAX turned out to be a retired police lieutenant from the Toledo Police Department.

He and his wife were returning from a cruise to Mexico and were in Gulfport for a return flight to Columbus.

Both passengers posted bail and were released after an initial court appearances. Next court date is March 26.
